Hot Diggedy Demon, the artist that I find the most intellectual stimulating, at least some of his stuff.
What I believe to be his best work his is slice of the other side of life series, a loosely connected set of stories wrapped in a layer of depression and black humor.
Done by anyone else, they’d be horrible, but the presentation, pacing, and general feel of the pieces are perfect and make them all the more intriguing.
The one I have listed above ” The Northern Incident”, while not in that series, fits the description and the quiet, interesting intellectual piece.
If you want that stuff, watch anything of his starting with the letter J.
On the other half of his stuff is more traditional comedy still peppered with his trademark black humor.
His Wacky Game Jokes for Kids are entertainingly mean, lampooning many video game and internet tropes with a practiced hand befitting a true assassin.
His current project of Ren and Stimpy like My Little Pony series gets a little weirder but still retains his easily identifiable humor.
